Germany's air ambassador Deutsche Lufthansa rivals the world's largest airlines. Operating through some 540 subsidiaries and affiliated companies, the global aviation group runs Europe's largest passenger airline. Lufthansa Passenger Airlines operates a global route network of 235 destinations in 78 countries with a fleet of more than 400 aircraft. Its logistics segment is also a market leader in international airfreight transportation through Lufthansa Cargo. The group's other main business segments deal in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services through Lufthansa Technik; airline catering services through LSG Sky Chefs; and IT services through Lufthansa Systems.
